Emblema Live is currently in beta. We're actively improving the platform and your feedback helps us make it better. As we develop new features, we'll keep you informed of any updates to how we handle your data.

Emblema Live ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform (the "Service").
By using Emblema Live, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

When you register for and use our Service, we may collect:

- Payment information (if applicable – we do not currently process or store payment card details; any future payments would be handled by third-party payment processors)

- Opting in: During account creation or in your account settings, you can choose to receive marketing emails
- Opting out: Every marketing email includes an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom. Click it to instantly stop receiving marketing communications
- Account settings: You can also manage your email preferences in your account settings at any time
Note: Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we'll still send you essential service-related communications (password resets, security alerts, account notifications).

- Aggregated Data: Anonymous, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes

Analytics Tools We Use
Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled to track page views, user journeys, and feature usage. This helps us understand how to improve the platform and prioritize new features based on actual usage patterns. IP addresses are anonymized before being processed, ensuring an additional layer of privacy protection.

- Essential cookies are automatically enabled as they're necessary for the Service to work
- Analytics cookies require your consent. When you first visit the site, you'll see a cookie banner asking for your consent
- You can change your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings
- You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on

10. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to provide and improve our Service:
Firebase (Google Cloud Platform)
Firebase is our primary infrastructure provider and handles:
- Authentication: Email/password credentials and user authentication tokens
- Database: User profiles, events, talks, feedback, and badge data
- Hosting: Application hosting and content delivery
- Storage: User-uploaded files (profile pictures, event materials)
Data Location: Firebase may process and store your data on servers located in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area. Google provides appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics collects usage data (pages visited, time spent, device information) to help us understand how users interact with the platform. This data may be processed in the United States.

11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country, particularly in the United States where our infrastructure partners are located.
We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the safeguards described in Section 10, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. These mechanisms ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection regardless of where it is processed.
12. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
